When you are using the Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter # DM8550045 you will either need to remove your bed liner or cut out your bedliner where the base of the adapter sits (unless it is a spary bed liner). My contact at Demco said that the base of this unit needs to sit directly against the truck bed in order to operate properly. If you decide to go with the cutting route the base measures 28” long and 30.5” wide.
