Recommended Low Profile Headache Rack for 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500HD

Question:
I own a 2004 Chevy 2500HD 4 door 6.5 ft bed truck and I’m looking to get a headache rack for it. I keep my truck in a garage and don’t have much clearance overhead so I am looking for a headache rack that is low profile that is about the same height as the roof of the truck, also with the capability of adding a strobe light and light bars on it. I also have a Weatherguard tool box mounted in the bed.

For your 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500HD I recommend taking a look at the Aries Headache Rack # AA111000. This is one of the more low-profile options available for your truck at just about 23 inches in height so it should only sit a tad higher than the roof of your cab. You can take this measurement up from the top of your bed rails to see exactly where the outer posts will sit.
I also attached an image a customer sent in of the rack on his 2009 model Silverado so you can get a better idea of its size.
As long as your Weatherguard tool box doesn't extend over the bed rails this will work perfectly.
