Question:
How do know the towing capacity of your motorhome?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The towing capacity of your motorhome should be listed in the owner's manual. Typically if you know your GVWR (gross vehicle weight rating) and your GCWR (gross combined weight rating) you can subtract your GVWR from your GCWR to find out how much you can tow. If you already have a trailer hitch installed on the motorhome it would have weight ratings listed on it as well but those can be higher than the weight rating of the vehicle it is installed on so it isn't a great way to determine your towing rating.
If you can tell me the year/make/model of your motorhome I can help you determine the towing rating of your RV. Also, if you let me know what you will be towing I can help you with any other equipment you may need.
