Does Curt Hitch # C11402 Fit 2016 Hyundai Sonata Plug-in Hybrid

Question:
I see that you recommend your 11402 hitch for a Kia Optima Plug-in Hybrid, but you say that 11402 only fits Non-Hybrid and Hybrid Hyundai Sonatas. You specifically exclude Plug-in Hybrid Sonatas. What gives? Sonata and Optima are built on the exactly same platform. Are you saying that PHEV Sonata and PHEV Optima are built differently?

We recently spoke with Curt and they told us that the hitch # C11402 does fit the plug in hybrid models of the 2016 Hyundai Sonata like what you have so it would fit and work well.
