The Yakima FullBack 2 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount - Adjustable Arms # Y02634 is confirmed by Yakima to fit your 2018 Honda Civic 5 door Hatchback. You will use the upper hooks in anchor mode for this installation. There will not be any damage to your vehicle using this bike rack when installed as shown in the attached instructions. I recommend just making sure the vehicle is clean before installation to keep dirt and debris from impacting the surface finish.
I've attached a video of a hatchback installation to assist. I recommend using the Softride Soft Hook-and-Loop Tie Downs for Bike Racks # SR54FR and the Swagman Bike Frame Adapter Bar # 64005 for any step-thru style frames. I've attached a video to assist.
If you prefer a hitch mount, as long as you don't have the center exhaust, you can use the Curt # C11463 and a hitch mounted bike rack like the Thule Doubletrack Pro XT Bike Rack # TH92BJ which will work great with this hitch and have no contact with your vehicle.
