The Curt gooseneck hitch # C607-604 does not fit your 2001 GMC Sierra 2500. For that you'd want the part # C60712 instead which is a fit for your truck. I attached an install video for this kit for you to check out as well. Instead of picking out a hitch by dimension it's much easier and more effective to go by what the manufacturer recommends for the vehicle.
