Does Adapter on Andersen Ultimate 5th Wheel Hitch Pivot
Updated 02/18/2019 | Published 02/17/2019 >
Question:
The red adapter that has 4 set screws and 2 bolts, will the 40lbs be enough to keep the red plastic adapter from turning? Does the red plastic adapter always stay parallel with the camper, or should it turn with the camper turning?

Expert Reply:
The adapter of the Andersen Ultimate Connection 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch System # AM3200 will stay exactly where it is so long as you follow the install directions. The 40 lb weight of the actual hitch will not affect the adapter in regards to it turning.
I also reached out to Andersen in regards to the adapter staying parallel or turning with your trailer and was told that it "didn't move at all."
This lightweight hitch will fit industry-standard fifth wheel rails, has a 20,000 lb capacity and will work with fixed pin boxes that have a standard 2" king pin. It is made in the USA and comes with a 1-year warranty.
