Question:
RV is a 2018 Grand Design Reflection 5th wheel. Factory tail lights are Optronics with incandescent #1157 bulbs. The outside light fixtures measures approx. 8.5inch wide and 3.3inch high. Purpose for an upgrade to LED bulbs or new LED tail light is to significantly increase to brightness factor and improve tail light visibility. The #1157 incandescent bulbs, as you know, are very dim! I see a couple of possible ways I can go based on LED items you sell. #1 would be to upgrade the bulbs and leave the original tail light fixtures in place. It looks like your website suggests the Putco Plasma #P241157R-360 LED bulbs. #2 option might be to replace the tail light fixtures to something like your RVSTL21 and #RVSTL20 LED units. I am also open to another tail light replacement unit if you suggest a different one slightly larger size can work. Wanting your advise on which alternative will offer brighter lighting and specifically if there are three distinct brightness levels with both of these options when going from brake/stop to signal to running lights. This is a weakness with the incandescents in my opinion. I have purchased LED upgrade tail lights from you all before Bargeman I believe and didnt find the replacement of the entire unit to be a big deal difficulty-wise. Thank you!

For the best results I recommend going with all-new LED assemblies for your Grand Design Reflection 5th wheel. While replacement bulbs are an option, you are better off going with a new assembly made specifically to optimize LED lights. Additionally, the LEDs on new assemblies have a lifetime warranty while replacement bulbs have just a 1-year warranty.
In terms of brightness levels, brake lights on all vehicles are going to be the brightest because they alert the motorist behind them to stop, but that is not due to the actual light assemblies
I recommend checking out the Low Profile LED RV Tail Light w/ License Bracket - Driver Side # RVSTLB61 and the accompanying Passenger Side # RVSTLB60. These LEDs measure 8-11/16" long x 3-3/16" tall x 2-1/8" deep so approximately the same size as your current lights. They are surface-mounted and should be a great upgrade to your 5th wheel.
I have added links to video reviews of both lights for you to take a look at.
