Towing an enclosed rental trailer with your CR-V will require a hitch, ball mount, hitch ball and a wiring harness to power the trailer's lights. Towing mirrors are also a good idea. Most enclosed rental trailers will have a surge brake coupler, which is a coupler that automatically engages the trailer's built-in hydraulic brakes when you slow your vehicle. You'll want to confirm this with the rental company.
For your 2018 CR-V I recommend the Draw-Tite hitch # 76128 if you do not already have one, along with wiring harness # 118741. Install videos for both of these are linked for you along with their written instructions. You'll also use Ball Mount Kit # EBMK4 which will work with both of the most common sizes of trailer coupler, 1-7/8-inch and 2-inch hitch ball. For towing mirrors I suggest the K-Source dual-lens set # KS3990 which are easy to put on.
Honda says in the owner's manual for the 2018 CR-V that it can tow a trailer up to a maximum of 1500-lbs. It also states driving speed when towing should not exceed 65-mph and that any trailer over 1000-lbs should be equipped with brakes.
Just how far you will tow should be considered too; if you're talking about a 35 mile trip on local roads at lower speeds then pushing the load limit is one thing, but if it is a cross-country trip of 1000-miles on the interstate then you might want to consider ways to reduce the total trailer weight.
I recommend checking your printed manual, starting around page 450, for trailer towing details so that you can ensure a safe trip to your place! You can also refer to the two linked articles with towing basics and guidance.
