Question:

The hub I replaced with #AKIHUB-440-2-G-1K has L44649 bearings. Can I use them with this hub instead of the supplied L44643 bearings. Are the grease seals the same for both Bearings?

The two bearings you mentioned have different inner diameters. The # L44643 has an inner diameter that is exactly 1 inch and the # L44649 is 1.06 inch. This may not seem like a lot but it's a big enough difference to prevent the hub you have now from fitting your spindle (you may already know this). The seals are slightly different diameters too.

Since you wouldn't be able to swap out the bearings of your current hub to the correct size you need (the hub won't match), the only solution we have would be to go with the correct fitting hub part # AKIHUB-440-2-1K.
