Question:

I have a 2015 F150 with push button start. I have an Air Force One brake system. Do I need to add a diode to my roadmaster brake light relay kit or can I wire it like your 2015 f150 video shows?

The SMI Air Force One Supplemental Braking System for Motor Homes with Air Brakes - Proportional # SM99243 does not need any additional diodes for installation. I double checked with my tech contact at SMI Demco and it will install in the exact same way as a keyed start vehicle so no diode is needed. You will still need the Roadmaster # RM-88400 relay to prevent the towed vehicle's brake signal from overriding the turn signal from the RV when applying the brakes during a turn but nothing further is required for that Air Force One System.

If you are moving the system from another vehicle and already have the motorhome components then you simply need the Replacement Towed Vehicle Installation Kit for SMI Air Force One Supplemental Braking System # SM99226 in addition to the relay # RM-88400.
