Question:
2016 Chevrolet Colorado set up as a towed vehicle with the Roadmaster diode set. If I add this to my truck, will it function while it is being towed? Will interfere with the existing diode function for towing?

Expert Reply:
Since your 2016 Chevy Colorado comes with factory trailer connectors the Rampage SuperBrite LED Tailgate Light Bar # RA960137 won't function when your pickup is being flat towed. Reason being that the Roadmaster diode kits like part # RM-15267 splice in to the tail light functions while the factory trailer wiring is its own circuit.
If you wanted to have the light bar functioning while you are flat towing then you would need to install a separate 4-Way connector that is linked to the tail light circuit for your tail lights. I recommend the Hopkins # HM11141164 because it tees in behind your tail light housing, draws power directly from your battery, and has a tail light converter that helps protect the OEM wiring on your Colorado.
