I was able to find some information on your 2005 Forest River Lexington Motorhome online. Your motorhome came with Lippert Coach steps so the replacement motor you asked about is # LC301695. The motor is likely the culprit if movement is the issue, but if it is simply not staying in place then the controller # LC301702 is more likely the part needing replaced. The controller is the brains of the operation so if it is not communicating properly, the controller is the issue.
