Fantastic Vent does not offer a kit to convert a remote-controlled vent to a manual one so I recommend replacing the unit. This will be both safer and easier.
We have models like # FV801208 that includes a manual knob for opening and closing the lid and a 3-speed selector switch for fan speed. This USA-made model also offers clamp-on installation that seals in place without screwing into the roof. You'll use a silicone sealant like # 0160297 to ensure a water-tight installation.
