Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a look at the CIPA rear view boat mirror. This helps you to see what's going on behind you so that you can make sure that there's no traffic, you can kind of get a good idea of what's going on, even if that's just checking on what's going on with your passengers in the backseat. So this is going to be a nice wide view mirror, it helps to eliminate any kind of blind spots you might have. So you're not having to crank over your shoulder to see what's going on. It's also going to be a really easy to install mirror as well.
So let's take a little closer look at it and see what it has to offer. So you can see a pretty good view of my office here gives you a nice kind of fisheye view of what's going on.So it definitely gives you a really wide range of viewing area at the back. We turn it around, this is how we're going to mount this in place. It's going to have this kind of ball socket joint. So as you tighten up the screw, that's going to push on that and help to hold it in place.
This does need to go with a bracket that is sold separately to mount this. You can find that here at etrailer.com, it is a related part on the product page here at etrailer so that's a easy way to find it. As far as the housing, it is an ABS plastic, and it is impact resistant. So even if it happens to get nicked or hit by any kind of rocks or anything that might be flying at you, it should have shouldn't have any issues with that. Again, pretty easy to get this installed, just needs that bracket that is sold separately. As far as the size for this guy, we go from edge to edge.
It's just about 17 and seven eighths inches long, so pretty close to 18 inches long or wide, however you want to say that. And then top to bottom, it's about six inches tall and front to back about three inches or about four and a half if we include that mounting knob. It is covered by a one-year warranty and that's pretty much all there is to it for our look at the CIPA rear view boat mirror. I hope this video has been helpful in deciding if this is the right mirror for you. If not, we do have some other options available here at etrailer.com.
So check them out. Thanks for watching..
