Based on your measurements you are looking for a 4-1/4 or 4 inch drop for your ball mount. I've attached an article to assist. If you want a fixed mount ball mount, I recommend the4 Curt Class III Ball Mount with 2" Ball - 4" Drop - 7,500 lbs # C45056 if your trailer has a 2 inch ball coupler. If the coupler fits a 2-5/16 inch ball, then I recommend # C45042 instead. These will work well for towing 7,500 lbs with a 750 lbs tongue weight. Anything beyond that should use a weight distribution system instead of a ball mount with your 2017 Chevy Colorado. I've attached an article to assist with this as well.
If you want to have the ability to tow other trailers, you may want to consider the etrailer.com Ball Mount Kit for 2" Hitches - 7,500 lbs # 989900 which will come with two different hitch ball sizes and two ball mounts. One of them is rated for a 4 inch drop. Another great alternative is an adjustable ball mount like the Rapid Hitch Adjustable, Aluminum Ball Mount Kit w/ 2 Zinc Balls - 4" Drop or Rise Item # AM3462 which gives you up to 4" of rise or drop or # AM3411 which gives you up to 6-1/2” of rise or 5-1/2" drop. Both of these ball mounts can be adjusted in 1” increments to ensure you can tow level, and they come with a 1-7/8" hitch ball and 2" hitch ball to pair with your trailer's coupler. This will allow you to adjust the height as needed for different trailers.
