Question:

I am interested in doing an axle swap on my camper to jack it up off the ground to take the 1970 outta it haha. It has slipper springs on it now so will have to convert to a double eye set up. Would the set up that I have picked out work together? Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit - K71-385-00 Single-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double-Eye Springs - 3-1/4inch Front, 1-1/4inch Rear - APS4 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles - 25-1/8inch Long - e54SR . I know there is going to be some modifications to the hanger system but just want to make sure all these parts are compatible with eachother My camper weighs 2640lbs.

As long as you have a 3" diameter axle then yes, the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit part # K71-385-00, Single-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit part # APS4, and 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring (2) part # e54SR will all work together. If you have a 2-3/8" diameter axle then you will want to use the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit part # K71-384-00 instead.

I would also like to mention that you do not have to swap out the slipper springs on your trailer to use the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit. As long as you weld the spring seats to the axle and make a new u-bolt plate then you can use either kit with slipper springs and this is straight from the manufacturer.
