Can Brophy Camper Scissor Steps # SS03 be Mounted to Toyota Tacoma and Slide-In Camper

Question:
I have a Toyota Tacoma 4WD with a Four Wheel pop up slide in camper. I was wondering if the Brophy scissor step could be mounted to it in some way. What is the measurements of the mounting bracket?

Expert Reply:
The Brophy Camper Scissor Steps # SS03 referenced in your question features mounting bracket dimensions of 18-1/4 inches wide, 1 inch tall, and 1 inch deep. The mounting bracket can be attached to any flat surface that can support the weight of the steps and a person on them, so as long as you have the space available there is no particular reason that you couldn't mount it to your Tacoma to allow for easier access to the camper.
We have had customers attach the bracket to the bottom of their camper's door frame and even to the open tailgate on their truck. I have attached a couple of these images that you can check out.
Just note that these steps are only designed to be used while the vehicle is stationary and should be removed from the mounting bracket before travel. I have attached a short video demonstration on the steps that you can take a look at as well.
