Required Bolt Length for Installing A-Frame Trailer Jack
Updated 10/17/2018 | Published 10/16/2018 >
Question:
Since this is an industry standard design/pattern for the jacks and coupler to work together: is there a bolt length that is recommended for the three bolts? I only saw where it says the diameter and thread pitch 3/8inch diameter with 16 threads per inch. Thanks for your time.

There isn't a particular bolt length that is recommended for installing an A-Frame jack like the Pro Series # PSEA20000340 that you were looking at. This is simply because it will really depend on the trailer it is being installed on, as some will require longer bolts than others because of differences in frame/tongue thickness.
As you mentioned, Pro Series does recommend using 3/8 inch diameter, Grade 5 bolts with washers but the length will really be up to you. I have attached a sample installation video on this jack that you might also find helpful.
