Recommended Trailer Hitch and Wiring for 2018 Nissan Leaf

Question:
I viewed the video of the installation of a Curt hitch on a 2017? Leaf and do not want to drill a hole in the frame or widen another hole in the frame as shown in that video. I notice that the Ecohitch claims that no drilling is required with their hitch on a 2018 Leaf. This is critical to me. The only mod I can accept is the cut-out for the receiver. Also, there is no wiring confirmed to fit the 2018 Leaf although there is for the Bolt. I dont understand what possible reason could exist why the clamp on type available for the Bolt wouldnt work on the Leaf. Pulling a light lawn cart is critical to my decision as to whether to buy a Bolt or a Leaf. Please dont feed me guesses on these questions. Too many people say things that are not confirmed facts. Thanks.

The EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2" # 306-X7221 is a confirmed fit for the 2018 Nissan Leaf. I've attached the installation details that show absolutely no drilling required but trimming an underbody panel is required which you confirmed is okay. I've attached a photo of this hitch installed on a 2018 Leaf to assist.
For your trailer wiring I recommend the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56227. The new model does use the same wiring connector as the 2017 model even though the lights have a new look.
I recommend the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount # BWTS10035B for an adjustable hitch with two hitch ball options that also has a nice stowable feature when not in use. I also recommend using a hitch pin lock like # e98880 to secure your investment.
