Question:
I have a 2014 f150 4x4 super crew 5.0L with 5.5 bed. Im currently using a Reese kwik-slide pro series 15000 and currently running this set up on a 1997 Cameo 32 ft 5th wheel with an extended pin box. Im looking at getting a newer camper and would like to know witch Reese sidewinder pin box you would recommend for my set up for the best cab clearance???

The Sidewinder pin boxes are pin box specific replacements so you will need to know the pin box of your new camper. For instance if it has an extended pin box like the most common Lippert 1621 extended pin box, then you would use the 20K # RP34FR. Some pin boxes have an air ride version as well like the 5th Airborne Premium 5th Wheel Air Ride King Pin w/ Sidewinder and Turret - 16,000 lbs # RP61422.
The Sidewinder pin boxes will all move the pivot point of your trailer back 22 inches. There will be a wedge to keep the king pin from moving at the hitch and then a rotating turret will be 22 inches back to allow movement at that location for increased turning clearance with a short bed truck. I've linked the page to all of the options for Sidewinder pin boxes to assist. If you will be using a Sidewinder with your Pro Series sliding hitch, you will leave the slider in the forward locked position at all times as using the rear locking position could cause damage to your vehicle or components.
The pin box number will be found on your trailer's pin box on a sticker. If you are missing that sticker, you can also use measurements to determine the correct fit. I've linked that article to assist.
If you want help once you've determined the camper you will purchase, let me know.

Jason, I have a 2024 Pinnacle 38FBRK 5th wheel trailer matched up to a 3500 Ram truck. I’m using a Companion sliding 5th wheel hitch that connects to a Morryde pin box. Is it okay replace the Morryde pin box with the Reese sidewinder pin box with still using the sliding 5th wheel hitch?
