For your 2017 Chevy Silverado 2500 Diesel, I reached out to my contact at Westin and the mounting kit # 27-2145 is what you will want. They only have the fit for the gasoline models, but they should work for Diesel as well. They alternatively recommended the Westin R7 Nerf Bars - 7" Wide - Black Powder Coated Steel # 28-71035 which are similar to the OEM style running boards for your specific truck. I've linked the page to all your Westin options for your vehicle.
The bracket kit # 27-1745 you asked about are only a fit 2007-2013 Chevy Silverado 1500 and 2008-2014 Chevy 2500 models.
