When Replacing CoachStep RV Step Motor Does it Matter if Steps are In or Out

Question:
I am replacing the coachstep electric motor on a damon Tuscany. Do I need the steps in or out so the gear is in line.

The motor and gear of the Replacement Motor for Lippert Electric Coach Step # LC301695 does not have a limited range in the direction it operates. Basically what I mean by that is that it does not require you to install it with either the steps out or in. You can do it in either direction and the motor will work fine. The sensors basically just tell the motor to spin in the correct direction as needed.
