I need to carry 2 kayaks on my 2018 prius. What all do i need?

To start, I recommend making sure the roof of your 2018 Toyota Prius can handle the weight of your kayaks. Depending on the type of kayak since some can be pretty heavy you could end up overloading your car. Once you've figured that out you're going to need a complete roof rack with crossbars. Along with a carrier to go on the crossbars to hold the kayaks.

The roof rack I recommend is the Yakima CoreBar system. You need the CoreBar crossbars, part # Y00421, the BaseLine towers, part # Y28TR, and two different BaseClip fit kits, parts # Y06123 and # Y06169. It's a good strong system that's still aerodynamic to reduce wind noise.

Then to carry the kayaks I recommend the JayLow, part # Y04073. It can be used to carry 2 kayaks up to 110 pounds total which is higher than most 2-boat carriers. It includes tie-downs for the first kayak but you'll need another for the second boat. Use part # Y04031. You can also add locks using part # Y07202.

Finally, I recommend adding the Malone QuickLash hood loops, part # MPG308. This makes finding a location for the tie-downs to connect easier.
