The only difference between the 2 units you mentioned is that part # RP66074 doesn't come with a shank while part # RP66084 does.

A properly rated weight distribution (WD) system will have a tongue weight (TW) range that the total tongue weight (TTW) of your towing setup falls in the middle of. You can find TTW by adding the loaded TW of your trailer along with the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of your 2012 Cadillac Escalade. A properly loaded trailer will have a TW that is 10-15% of the weight of the loaded trailer. You can use a TW scale like part # e99044 to make sure you load your trailer correctly every time.

I looked up the specs for your 2017 Jayco 28BHBE and it looks like the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) is 9,250 lbs. This means that when fully loaded your TW should be 925 lbs - 1,388 lbs. Since both the Reese Strait-Line # RP66074 and # RP66084 have a TW range of 600 lbs - 1,200 lbs you may be cutting it close depending on how much cargo you plan on putting in the back of your Escalade.

Since you will likely be at the higher end of those Strait-Line systems I recommend going with the part # RP66130 instead. This is the same exact system except that is has a TW range of 800 lbs - 1,500 lbs so it will fit your application better. You will also need a shank like part # RP54970 and a hitch ball like part # A-90 for 2" or # 19286 for 2-5/16".

I have attached some review videos and helpful articles for you to check out.
