Why do Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs Feel Too Stiff on 2015 Ram 2500
Published 09/06/2018 >
Question:
I have 2015 Ram 2500 with the Firestone air bag system installed. At 5 psi it feels way to stiff. Sometime when hitting a bump on the road it feels like the axel is driving though the top of the bed , is it a bad installation or just a bad choice. I am doing this while towing a trailer with 1400 lbs young weight

The Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2598 on your 2015 Ram 2500 should definitely not feel like the axle is driving through the top of your bed.
The issue likely is that the 5 psi you have them inflated to isn't enough for the load you have. If you take a look at the cutout of the manual I added you can see that they support about 50 lbs of load per PSI of inflation so start by inflating the springs more which should be helpful.
The Ride-Rites certainly aren't a bad choice; they are widely lauded as being one of the best suspension enhancement options available. For example, if you check out the customer reviews on the product page you can see that they are averaging close to 5 stars with over 450 reviews.
