Question:

I just bought a new 2019 RAM 1500 Laramie Longhorn and I am looking for a trailer hitch and whatever else I need. It has a trailer brake control and should be wired for a trailer. I would like something that is if anything a little over kill. I think the truck is rated for 12,000 pounds. I will include a few photos. Tell me what you recommend that I should get.

For your 2019 Ram 1500 we have the Curt hitch part # C15005 which has very high towing capacities of up to 15,000 lb total trailer weight. Looks like you already have a 7-way connector next to your license plate which your factory brake controller is connected to as well.

You really only would need a higher capacity ball mount and you'd be set. For that we have the part # C45340 which has a 2 inch drop or the part # C45341 which has a 4 inch drop. Then for a hitch ball the part # 63840 would be a great option too.
