Question:
I recently purchased the product above and installed it on my trailer. I connected the brown wire from the light unit to the brown wire on my trailer wiring. I used mounting screws to mount it to the trailer because I know that the product grounds via the mounting screws. The light doesnt illuminate. Can you suggest somethings to look for that I may have done wrong?

The first thing to do would be to check to see if the problem is the Light Bar # MCL97RPG or the wiring on your trailer. With the light grounded try touching the brown wire to a 12V power source to see if it illuminates. If it doesn't then the light bar is bad but if it does that means the light circuit for the brown wire on your trailer isn't working correctly. You can try tracing down the damaged wire section with a tester like part # PTW2993. Fix any damaged sections and that should fix your problem!
It could also be that the ground connection isn't the greatest. You can also try sanding off the mounting location to get a better ground connection if need be.
