How Does BrakeRite EHB Wire to Trailer with a Single Battery
Published 08/22/2018 >
Question:
The diagram in the instructions for the Brake Rite EHB show the tow vehicles battery and the trailers breakaway battery. That is typical for a cargo or car hauler. For an RV, there isnt a breakaway battery, instead it uses a large battery for all 12V power for the RV and that includes the breakaway function. How would the wiring change for an RV? It seems like the black wire 12V from the 7-pin wire, would be connected together with the violet wire +12V breakaway battery, and of course these would be connected to the large battery in the trailer.

I attached a diagram that shows how the BrakeRite Actuator part # T4813100 gets wired to a trailer. If you have only one battery on your trailer you'd need to run all of the battery connections to the single battery and you'd be set.
The newest version of this is the Titan BrakeRite I Plug and Play Electric-Hydraulic Actuator Kit # T4813102.
