In order to flat tow your 2018 Ram 2500 behind an RV you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, a lighting solution, a supplemental braking system, and most likely a high-low adapter. I also recommend checking your truck's owner's manual for any restrictions or guidelines with it comes to flat towing the Ram.
Starting with the base plate kit, I recommend the Roadmaster MS Base Plate Kit # RM-296-2. This kit is confirmed to fit your Ram 2500 and is specifically built for heavier vehicles like this one. It features an all-steel construction and a black powder coat finish for corrosion resistance.
Then for a compatible tow bar I recommend the Roadmaster BlackHawk 2 All Terrain # RM-422. This is a non-binding tow bar that will allow for easy release even on unlevel ground and extra-long telescoping arms for better maneuverability on the road. It has a 10,000 pound weight capacity. For safety cables you can use # RM-653.
Moving onto a lighting solution, I really like the Roadmaster Diode Kit # RM-15267. This kit lets you wire the truck so that it accepts the basic signal lights from your RV needed for towing. It includes a 6-Way connector that you will mount to the front of the truck and enough coiled wiring to go from there to the 7-Way on the RV.
For a supplemental braking system I highly recommend the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO # SM99251. This is an excellent proportional system that will activate the Ram's brakes at the same time and with the same intensity that you apply to them in the RV. The best thing about this particular system is that after the initial installation it requires very little attention as you transition from flat towing to everyday driving (and vice versa).
Finally, you will likely need a high-low adapter in order to keep the tow bar within the "Safety Zone" (3 inches above or below level). I have attached a great article that explains how to choose the best one for your setup and a link that will take you to our available selection. I have also included videos and instructions for the products mentioned, along with an FAQ on flat towing that you might find helpful.
