Question:
Should the front cross bar be located at the very front of the roof rack? I will be carrying two 14 foot kayaks with 2 sets of Yakima Jay-Lows. How far back should the rear cross bar be placed?

Expert Reply:
Because kayaks are so long the wider the stance of the JayLow kayak carrier, # Y04073, the better the support will be for the kayaks. The minimum bar spread, measured from the center of one bar to the center of the other bar on your 2016 Buick Enclave, is 24 inches for the JayLow. So any spread of 24 inches of more will be sufficient.
