Mounting Hole Size for CE Smith Trailer License Plate Bracket CE26053A

Question:

I am curious the whole size to attach to the back of the light? I have some military lights, like hummer. I think I need 7/16 bolt size. I appreciate any help!!!!

The holes in bracket # CE26053A are elongated and measure 7/16 inches side to side and 1/4 inch top to bottom. You would need to bore out the holes a little to use 7/16 inch diameter hardware.
