Solution for Blue Ox Tow Bar Hitting Pavement on Steep Driveways and Road Dips
Updated 08/01/2018 | Published 07/31/2018 >
Question:
Hello, Some driveways and even some roads have dips that cause the Blue Ox tow bar to bottom out. It seems that someone must make a wheel that could mount on the tow bar to prevent this. Do you know of anything like that? Thanks

There isn't a wheel or similar product available that is designed to mount to a tow bar like what you have. Your best option to prevent the tow bar from bottoming out is to simply see if a different high-low adapter like # RM-048-6 might give you a tad more rise while still remaining in the "Safe Zone" for the tow bar. You will want the tow bar to still be within the range of 3 inches above or 3 inches below level. This does offer some wiggle room where you can hopefully get a bit more rise with an adapter to keep it from hitting the ground on steep driveways or road dips.
I have attached a link that will take you directly to our available selection of high-low adapters that you can look through.
