I am not sure what tire size you are wanting to upgrade to but as long as you have the room there is never harm in using bigger tires.
Your current 5.30-12 size tires should have a section width of 5.6" and an overall diameter of about 22". If you can find the section width and diameter of the tire you are wanting to upgrade to then all you have to do is divide that in half and see if your fender and trailer frame clearance is at least 2" or more than the difference.
