I have a skylight near where I will be installing the fan. How much clearance is required on all sides of the Maxx Air MA00-07500K?

The MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan # MA00-07500K referenced in your question fits a 14 inch x 14 inch RV roof opening, but the mounting flange itself measures 16-1/2 inches x 16-1/2 inches. This will refer to the footprint of the unit from inside your RV/trailer.
The actual vent that will mount above the roof of the trailer measures 22-1/2 inches long and 16-1/2 inches wide. When closed it will extend 5 inches above the roof and when open it will extend 9-5/16 inches above the roof. You can use these dimensions to determine if you have the necessary clearance between where you are wanting to install the fan and where your skylight is located.
I have attached an installation video that you might also find helpful.

I have plenty of space for the flange, as my solar panels are elevated off the roof on a roof rack. My concern is that widthwise, I have a gap of 18 1/4" between two panels for the actual vent that is mounted above the roof to fit as it opens and closes. Is that enough clearance? If you subtract 16 1/2 from 18 1/4 and then divide it by two you get .875 or 7/8 inch clearance on each side. Font and back, with the 22-1/2 inches length of the fan I have plenty of space. It is just that width I am worried about. Do you know if this will work? Thanks for your time.
