Replacement A-Frame Jack for Lippert Ground Control TT

Thanks for your speedy reply. Only one+ question left. What makes this LCI Tongue Jack "Speak" to the Leveling Computer that runs the 4 other Ground Control jacks? It shows that it only has a RED POSITIVE wire for power and grounds itself via the mounting bracket bolts. Where's the "Brain?" Is this the only LCI jack you carry in 3500# capacity, or the only one LCI makes or does LCI make a 4000# Jack that is essentially the same thing? OK, 2-1/2 questions, then I quit! Thanks

Sorry to hear about your troubles and your anger is understandable but we can help you out. It sounds like you have the Electric Ground Control # LC672136, which is for travel trailers. We have gotten questions about a replacement jack for this before and according to Lippert, the correct replacement for the Ground Control is the Lippert Electric Trailer Jack # LC285318.

Excellent question, and you are right about the wiring. I have spoken to Lippert about this before and what they told me that was you (or rather the installers) would need to disconnect the wiring from the original jack on Ground Control # LC672136 and wire it to replacement jack # LC285318. It will need to be hardwired in since it does not have the original harness. I have added a couple photos which show the original jack that should have come with the system has and how the tongue jack harness will connect to the jack; this is the part that will need to be hardwired in.

There is only one wire that needs to be connected on the Lippert Electric Trailer Jack part #LC285318. This is the red 12 volt power wire that will need to be ran to the positive terminal on the battery. I cannot be sure as to how the junction box…

I spoke with my contact at Lippert and he confirmed that the Lippert Components Power Tongue Jack 1817941 #LC285318 can be rotated to be best orientated for you. The jack can be un-bolted, rotated, and reinstalled.
