Question:
Hello. I just purchased a 1986 fleetwood travel trailer. Id like to get rid of the old style 4 lug wheels and put a more modern 15 inch wheel. Someday I may want to seriously upgrade the axles and suspension to timbren axle less or similiar. My question is if i buy the dexter 10” self adjusting brakes and drums now can I install on the existing Dexter 3500 lb axle and then remove those assemblies later to install on new Dexter ez lube axles or timbren axle less kit? Thanks

So what's interesting about the 3,500 lb Timbren Axleless systems is that the spindles they come with are designed to fit 5,200 lb hubs and assemblies. So if you were to install new hub/drums and assemblies on your Dexter 3,500 axle now you'd want the version fo the Timbren Axle Less 3,500 that comes with hub/drums part # A35RS545E as the parts would not carry over.
For hub/drums to fit a 3,500 lb Dexter axle you'd want the part # AKHD-5475-35-K and then for assemblies part # AKEBRK-35L-SA for the left hand side and part # AKEBRK-35R-SA for the right hand side.
