Can a 5th step be added later if necessary?

You can indeed add a 5th step later down the line to the TorkLift GlowStep Revolution Scissor Step Assembly # TLA8104 that you referenced. To do this, you will just need the TorkLift Add-A-Step # TLA8101. This will give you a 5th step with the same Aircraft-grade aluminum and stainless steel construction as those on the base assembly. All the needed mounting hardware is included.
