Helpful Expert Reply:
The Curt Heavy Duty Forged Ball Mount part # C45340 that you referenced has a 2,550 lb tongue weight (TW) and 17,000 lb gross trailer weight (GTW) rating. The tongue weight of a trailer is typically between 10-15% of its gross trailer weight so this ball mount would be plenty for your trailer. In order to add a hitch ball you are going to want to use part # A-90 for 2" or part # A-6 for 2-5/16".
Please keep in mind that this ball mount has a 1" rise and 2" drop. I recommend taking a look at the attached help article to make sure this rise/drop will keep the trailer level. If not I have attached a list of our selection for you.
