Can I Bolt On a Weld On Bulldog Collar-Lok Coupler

Question:

I dont have a welder avaliable can I Bolt on the 028387 straight coupler to my boat trailers 3 frame. I will use 2ea. 5/8 class 5 or greater bolts with nylon lok-nuts. I guess I will need to drill 2 11/16 holes in the coupler. Do you sell the coupler pre-drilled?

It may be possible to install a Bulldog Collar-Lok Coupler w/ High-Profile Latch # BD028387 on your trailer by drilling holes in it and using grade 5 or higher bolts to secure it to your trailer, but since it has never been tested I can not safely recommend you do it.

We also do not sell this particular coupler pre-drilled. We have many bolt on couplers that you could install on your trailer with bolts but none of them are collar-lock style. I attached a page that has all of our bolt on couplers for you to check out also.
