Question:
Thank You for your reply Maybe I didnt explain properly. There is Continuity from trailer center Plug to the Fuse TRLR B/U Trailer Back UP Lights There is NO POWER to either terminal of the fuse socket. I dont have elect brakes. I have surge brakes which require power to the center trailer plug which is REVERSE LIGHTS not TRAILER BRAKES. This activates a solenoid which deactivates the surge brakes so you can back up. I know that you can manually disable the surge brakes by clamping the surge brake trailer arm. I have looked at the electric brake kit that you indicated but I see nowhere that it connects to the Lt Green Back up light fuse in any way. From the wiring diagrams I have seen Fuse TRLR B/U should be getting power from the B/U LP fuse. My vehicle Back up light work. Thank You

In this senario, I would run a wire from the center pin of the 7-way to the reverse light circuit on your truck. This will enable you to bypass the fuse. Because of this direct connection you should be able to back up without your trailer brakes engaging. It is best to use a quick splice like part # SWC501915-1 to tap into the circuit after probing the wiring for the reverse light with a tester like part # PTW2993.
This bypasses your issue but doesn't actually fix the problem of not getting power to that fuse cavity in your truck. It bypasses the problem, and will work, but if you want the reverse light circuit on your trailer running through that fuse then I recommend taking it to a mechanic.
