Question:

I have RBW 5500 series 5th wheel landing gear on my 1996 Carri lite. What would be the direct replacement or what parts are still available for this brand.

RBW Industries was acquired by AL-KO Kober Corp more than 5 years ago and the fifth wheel-related product lines were discontinued. You may be able to find replacement parts on private ad sites or auction sites, but new replacement parts are not available.

We DO offer complete manual and electric landing gear sets for 5th wheels that you can see on the linked page. These include kits rated for as much as 8K and include items like the Reese dual-motor electric landing gear kit # 500708 but kits rated at 6K are available too, such as bolt-on manual landing gear kit # LC333964.

The linked diagram illustrates how the jack weld stops and the RV frame clamps match up to hold the landing gear in place.
