Actually, the correct CURT 5th wheel trailer hitch brackets for a 2004 GMC Sierra with a 6-1/2 foot bed are # C16418. The complete kit that includes rails is # C16418-204. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you.
If you have a bed that is shorter than 6 feet, there is no CURT kit that will fit it. You could only use # RP50064-58 if the truck has a bed shorter than 6 feet. You would also need a stationary 5th wheel hitch, not a slider, and a Sidewinder. I have included a link to our Sidewinder main page for you.
