Question:

Does Draw Tite or Thule have confirmation that Helium receiver mount bike rack will install properly in this hitch? Subaru OEM hitches will not accept Thule receiver mount racks because the oin hole is too close to the end of the receiver. I see that this particular problem is solved in the # 306-X7266 receiver. However, is there enough length in the receiver tube to accommodate Thule rack stingers? Your answer will b e greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and concideration.

For your 2017 Subaru Outback, the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7601 is a confirmed fit that will fit the Thule bike racks. The center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost part of the bumper is 2-1/2 inches, so you will be able to utilize the Thule bike racks.

The Thule Helium bike carrier # TH9042PRO or # TH9043PRO both have a distance greater than that 2-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the locking knob so they will be compatible. This carrier has the locking hitch and integrated cable lock.

A couple final suggestions for either rack are the Swagman Deluxe Bike Frame Adapter Bar for Women's, Children's, and Alternative Frame Bikes # 64005 which adds a top frame rail to any step through frame and then the Softride Soft Hook-and-Loop Tie Downs for Bike Racks # SR54FR to keep your front wheels secured to the frame.
