According to my research if your 2018 Chevrolet Equinox AWD 2.0L 9-Speed Automatic 6T50 is a 2018 you can only tow your Equinox on a trailer. I recommend checking your owners manual to confirm.

If your owners manual confirms that the Equinox is able to be flat towed, I have the following recommendations to get your towing started. You will need the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1689 along with the Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar # BX7380. This comes with the safety chains needed.

For your tow bar wiring, I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This will use diodes to allow you to utilize your factory wiring for a clean look. You will also need the Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass - 13" - 20-Amp Mini-Fuse # RM76511 and the # RM-156-25 to get power to your towed vehicle.

For your supplemental braking system, I recommend the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System - Proportional # SM99251 which will only require adjustment at installation and then becomes a plug and play system. You will need the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751439 to allow function because the vehicle power is off.
