Question:

I looked at the frame and see that the frame is actually S shaped but like a C channel on the bottom half where this hitch would weld on. The C is flat on the outside away from the hitch with the lip of the C frame facing the hitch. This looks like I would lose a good deal of frame to weld to. I would catch the entire bottom and maybe 1/2inch of the vertical plate. Is this OK? Thanks

Based on the information you gave, to mount the Ultra-Fab 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver for Trailer Frames # UF35-946403 I recommend boxing the frame at that location.

If you don't wish to box the frame, then I instead recommend using the Curt Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs, 22" to 72" Wide # 13703 which is compatible with box frame, C-channel frame, or I-beam frames.
