Can a Wider Slide-Out Awning be Used if there is Enough Space

My slide flange to flange is 154inch to have a few extra inches of slide coverage could I install a 168inch 14 awning over this slide? The depth of this slide is 38.

You could install a wider slide-out awning than what is required but keep in mind that you also need 6 inches of clearance on both sides of the slide-out to accommodate the overall length of the entire assembly. So on a 168 inch wide awning the overall space needed is 180 inches. If you have the space then you can use # LCV000163301 at 168 inches.

Otherwise the standard size for a 154 inch wide slide-out is 162 inches, # LCV000163300, which will have an overall length of 174 inches.
