Quick-Disconnect Propane Fitting with a Male 3/8" Inverted Flare

Updated 06/08/2018 | Published 06/07/2018

Question:

I want to install an additional quick-connect gas valve thru the thin metal apron of camper a permanent install like the factory-installed unit. Need the female quick connect to accept type 250 male quick connect from our low-pressure stove. The MBSturgis # 104052-MBS seems to fit the bill. My available low-pressure hose has female 3/8inch flared end. I believe I will need a 3/8inch Flare Male x 1/4inch Male NPT fitting. Is this correct? Is there another fitting I will need to attach the assembled fittings thru and to the hole on the camper? Any guidance would be appreciated.

I do have an option for you but the MB Sturgis Quick Disconnect Propane Connector part # 104052-MBS is not offered with a male 3/8" inverted flare model 250 quick-disconnect fitting. We do have the MB Sturgis Quick Disconnect Propane Adapter part # 401132-MBS which has a male 1/4" NPT model 250 quick-disconnect fitting but you would need to use an adapter to convert the male 1/4" NPT to a male 3/8" inverted flare which we do not have.

I have attached our propane fitting help article for you as well.
