Question:

I recently purchased the Yakima Doubledown 4 bike rack. I have a question about this part. It appears different from the one on the manufactures website. The Yakima website shows the cable as having a red piece at the end where your pictures show a black piece with a loop at the end. Why is this? Also, I noticed you do offer similar locks with the red piece at the end. I just want to be sure I am getting the best option for this rack. Can you please clarify? Which is better? Why are they different?

The Yakima LockUp Hitch Lock and Cable Lock Item # Y07238 appear to be the same as its counterpart on the Yakima site SKU: #8007238.

In regards to a red piece at the end of the lock the Yakima DeadLock Hitch Lock and Integrated Locking Cable has been discontinued. The Yamika LockUp # Y07238 will be a great alternative.

But from what I can tell you have the same exact product that is on the Yakima site.
