Question:
I am looking for a battery box to fix, a 2002 Chevy Express 1500. Its a conversion van that, Im building into a camper van. You have so many different boxes but none seem to fix the Chevy Express 1500. Can you discuss what it is about the Chevy Express 1500 that makes the boxes not work? Is there one thats the best candidate for adapting to my needs? Is it a matter of needing to weld or drill instead of just clamping into place? Thanks for your help!

The majority of our battery boxes we have are not vehicle specific and can be used on a variety of different applications. On some of the larger trucks, manufacturers have developed boxes that will fit pre-drilled holes in the frame rails but that is not the case for your 2002 Chevrolet Express 1500.
Instead, you would need to select a box and find a way to mount it yourself. For a battery box, I recommend the TorkLift PowerArmor Locking Battery Box part # TLA7712R. This box measures 24-15/16" long x 9-3/4" wide x 13" tall. It has hold-downs to secure the battery(s). The box is constructed of a heavy-gauge steel and is made right here in the U.S.A.
